Making Pretzels

Who knew you could make such delicious bread in only 30 minutes?  Well Room 2 does!  A marvelous group of bakers made the best smelling and tasing pretzels ever made at St Marys Rotorua.

Izzy sure looks like she is enjoying our Goldent Time activity.

Lauren is just waiting for her bread to cool down before she discovers that
her pretzel is as good as it smells!

Unity...We performed the cup song

What a performance...I have a video but it appears to have been taken upside down.   The children were amazing and very precise.  It was great assembly piece and many teachers, students and principals commented on how well they performed.

I found the camera!  So I may be a bit late with a few photos this term.  We hope you enjoy a peek into the fun we have had this term.
The class is in mufti today.  We are raising money for the people living in the Solomom Islands. Check out our RE pages for more photos.

We made 3D shapes out of marshmallows and toothpicks.
We have been learning about faces, edges and vertices.

Lachlan with his square based pyramid

Not to be outdone, Brae also created a square based pyramid.

Sydney looks confident about his cube.

Alex C has made a hexagonal prism.

Caitlin also managed to make the marshmallows hold long enough to make a pyramid.

Swimming this term was fun.  We walked to the Aquatic Centre a couple of times and had lessons in the school pool.  The pool was warm yet refreshing during the hot hot days of Term 1.
