Mary Mackillop Day
This year we had a day of celebrating the life of St Mary of the Cross Mackillop.  In the afternoon we played a variety of games that Mary herself may have played as a girl.

First Communion

Naomi and Isabella (and Charlie from Room 4) recently celebrated their First Communion.

Holy Week 2014

St Marys celebrated the start of Holy Week  (a bit early) on Friday with our Donkey Parade.  After such lovely weather in March we were blessed with rain (the farmers really needed it ) so the donkey didn't arrive.  But we had a joyful celebration in the hall.  The children dressed up.  Room 2 were the best dressed class ( or at least I thought so).  I hope you enjoy our photos of the Palm Sunday Liturgy.

Lent Appeal 2014
Our Young Vinnies group organised a coin trail.  On Friday we raised over $900.
Our class has been learning about the Solomon Islands this term for our lent studies.  Please keep the people of the Solomons in your prayers after the rain and flooding that has been going on the past few days.

Our entire school outlined the word LENT.
